This is the start of our new 1/2 acre garden
Weather permitting Guy has begun digging the trenches for the irrigation for our new garden. We plan on doing in ground beds to save money and to have successful inground beds the soil must be amended so we have a lot of work ahead of us. I have been creating compost with chicken manure from our flock and horse manure from our nearby friends and along with my vermiculture setup for making worm castings I think we will have a good start on a successful foundation for our garden beds.
The new garden setup is coming along. We still have several months before we can plant anything so we have plenty of time to amend the soil.
