off grid living in high desert Nevada
We’ve come to learn the winters here in the high desert are long and cold so we have to force ourselves to get out and about. Both my husband and I are trying to stay healthy by eating more wholesome foods and drinking more water to stay hydrated in this higher atmosphere. Of course, when our garden is up and running this summer it will be much easier to eat our own organically grown fresh produce everyday but also next winter we will hopefully have lots of root veggies stored as well as seasonal veggies growing in the walapini. Fingers crossed it will be done by then ๐
In the meantime we make a point to avoid junk food and try to take daily walks (even in the snow) and when we do our monthly grocery shopping we buy a good amount of salad fixings and frozen veggies to keep us going. We are bound and determined to stay healthy ,God willing, so we can make a success of this life we’ve chosen.
